Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans Free Movie
Rise of the Lycans, the third film in the Underworld series, actually takes places before the events of the first two movies in the series. The film shows how the war between the vampires and the cruel Lycans all started. Len Wiseman is the producer of this film while Patrick Tatopoulos takes charge behind the camera. The special effects of the film are sometimes shoddy and fall below expectations which are totally unexpected.
The Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans movie shows that Viktor, the vampire king, is in charge of the wild Eastern Europe. But they are always in fear of the barbaric werewolves. In reality the vampires are no match for the werewolves as the latter are far superior. Viktor knows that very well.
Although Viktor and his vampire family rule the nights there are other persistent problems for them in the form of werewolves. William, the very werewolf, has bred many mindless, killing machines and they are always on a killing spree. All these elements make underworld an enjoyable story. However, newcomers may find difficult to follow and may have to watch Underworld: Evolution for a proper explanation. Fans of the Underworld series will have no such problems and can follow the story effortlessly.
The Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans movie is actually a prequel to the previous two Underworld movies. Len Wiseman, the director of the first two movies, produces this one but the leading star, Kate Beckinsdale, can only be seen towards the end of the film and that too in the form of a clip from the first film. Special Effects man Patrick Tatopoulos is the man behind the camera this time and does one hell of a good job. Like the other two movies, this one is rated ‘R’ for the free display of blood and gore. Rhona Mitra disappoints us all with barely any skin show.
Patrick as a director is very good and degree of praise for him will be less. He handles the celebrated actors in the movie very well and gives them enough screen space. The film is ok for mature audiences only as there is good amount of violence and gore on display.
All the actors perform creditably including Martin Sheen, Bill Nighy and Rhona Mitra. Martin Sheen is a cebrated actor and one you watch this film you will understand why Martin Sheen is so highly regarded in the film industry. He is immensely talented and a powerful actor. The story of the Rise of the Lycans may seem a bit predictable but it is still a great film to watch if you are a fan of the horror/creature movie.
Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans is a third edition to the Underworld series. If you are an Underworld fan then there is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy this film. It has the usual dose of blood and gore to keep you seated and the love affair between Sonja and Lucian is wonderfully depicted. So I suggest you watch Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans free from your PC and enjoy the flick. The film has got a ‘R’ rating because of high violence.
